October-December: Ballet Classes
Ballet is a fun way to get fit and gain strength and flexibility. Registration is now open for ballet classes being held at Belle Meade Schoolhouse in Rappahannock County. Creative Movement, Pre-ballet, Ballet and Adult Ballet will be taught by Meghan Cupp, a former professional ballet dancer, from October through December. GED Classes
Enroll now for GED classes in Rappahannock County. Evening GED classes are designed for adults over the age of 18 years old. Classes are Monday and Thursday evenings from 7 p. m. to 9 p. m. You must register with Regional Adult Education for PD # 9 in order to enroll in class. There is a $25 assessment fee for pre and post test assessments, but the class and books are free. Enrollment is limited to 8 students, so call early to reserve your seat. Call 825-0476 for more information or to enroll.

Cellars holiday update
We are now operating on our winter hours: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p. m. Since we are normally working down in the cellar on Tuesday thru Thursday, you can always call to schedule a visit. Please note: Our tasting room will be closed during the month of January, and will reopen the first weekend of February.
Holiday Gifts: Tb thank all of you for your patronage since July, we will be offering a 5% discount on all wine-related tasting room items each weekend between now and Christmas. If you’re thinking about presenting our wines as a gift this year, we have Christmas wine bags in stock We now feature handcrafted, grape-inspired jewelry by Tbo Dvine, and grape leafceramics by Jo Pomerantz - these are grape leaf dishes made from imprints of the leaves from our vineyard. We also carry a great line of wine pourers, stoppers, wine evacuators, towels and the like, .in short,a great selection for holiday shopping while sipping our wines.
2006 Valentines Weekend Event: Our first event for 2006 will be the “That’s Amore” dinner that we are planning for Saturday, February 11th. We will be sending out a special in vitationonce we have the menu set for our first ever sit down wine dinner where we will be pairing our wines with gourmet Italian cuisine. Seating will be limited to 24 people so stay tuned.
Updates from the Winemaker:
2004 Whites: The 2004 Whites have really evolved nicely in the bottle. The changes since your first tastes this past summer have rounded out each of the whites with the most noticeable change occurring to the Barrel Select Chardonnay. As you may know, we were awarded a Gold Ribbon for the Premium Chardonnay.. but you’d better hurry if you want anymore because we now have only 66 cases left (out of 165). Our Viognier was a great hit with those who paired it with their Thanksgiving Turkey and the Sunset is still a great third party for your HOT TUB! So stop by for and buy a bottle and enjoy a WHITE CHRISTMAS.
2004 Reds: The Merlot and Estate Cabernet Franc,released on 15 October, have really experienced a wonderful softening of tannins revealing unmistakable aromas and tastes. ..Cherry and licorice in our soft bodied Merlot and layers of Blackberry, cherry, spice and a tad of plum in the Cabernet Franc. One suggestion,we only made 154 cases of the Frgnc and after 6 weeks, there are only 77 cases to sell need we say more?
2005 Vintages: What did 2005 bring us? Simply said, 2005 gave us a very promising vintage of wines that will be made from grapes that reached optimum maturity. The drought from mid-August thru early October definitely stressed the vines resulting in concentrated fruit in every berry. If you can wait you are sure to be rewarded when some of our whites are released next spring followed by our reds when they have matured in the cellar.
