Building and Development

Four positions in the Engineering Division of Building and Development. Responsible for plan revie '• to ensure engineered plans submitted to the county are prepared in compliance with state laws and local regulations. Works with developers and contractors to implement field quality control by conducting regular, technical field inspections to ensure code enforcement in support of the County "s erosion and sediment control program. Requires ability to review construction plans, profiles and site plans. Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships and be able to communicate ideas clearly, concisely and effectively. Experience with Virginia erosion and sediment control practices and regulations desiicd. Requires a high school diploma and four years of field experience related to erosion and sediment control. Must have or obtain Certification as Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector within one year of employment and Plans Reviewer by the State of Virginia within two years of employment.
