time adult, said it reminded him of an ant colony! It’s a great event. The fruit basket committee got together in the AUMC social hall to assemble more than 25 very generous fruit baskets to distribute to elderly or shut-in neighbors that are special to all of us in the community.

While the Ruritan Club helps, more help is needed for this year’s deliveries. Teenagers who drive and others who can lift the generous food baskets are asked to come and assist with the deliveries.
Troop 143
The Girl Scout Troops are also contributing to help those less fortunate.
Troop 143 lives up to their Girl Scout Promises of being “considerate and caring” and “making the world a better place”.
The Amissville based troop continues their tradition of helping with the local Community Food Drive for the needy. The Amissville Methodist, Baptist, Bethel Baptist and Full Gospel Churches, local businesses and area girl scouts host the drive. Troop 143
