Duties include providing reading, listening, and viewing materials, bringing library materials, basic reference, reader's advisory and information to senior residential and nursing homes. Planning and conducting programs to help improve the quality of life of older citizens of the community. Assisting in the preparation of deposit collections, providing assorted and balanced library materials on loan to selected Assisted Living Facilities, correctional facility detainees, and work release participants. Candidates must have familiarity with reading materials and authors, the ability to relate knowledge to the reading interest and information needs of patrons, and computer skills including the Internet. Coordinator
The 20-L Juvenile Court Service Unit is seeking qualified applicants to fill the Gang Response Intervention Team Coordinator position. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the multi-agency and multidisciplined Gang Response Intervention Team. This position will coordinate among agencies to ensure the planning, initiating, and delivery of Loudoun's balanced approach to gang related behaviors which include prevention, education, suppression, apprehension, prosecution, intervention, and corrections. This position will also perform grant research, seek gram funding, coordinate gang related grant proposals among the various agencies and provide grant reporting. Requires a Bachelor's degree in the criminal justice field with a minimum of 4 years of related professional-level experience, including supervisory or operational/ administrative oversight experience in law enforcement, probation, or corrections. Experience and working knowledge of a balanced and assertive approach to gang and other deviant behaviors within a community setting, as well as gang-related activities in the Northern Virginia Region and metropolitan areas for both adult and youth is required. Must be able to communicate and network with all levels throughout the organization and the criminal justice community. Must be able to respond immediately on-call for gangrelated activities or incidents requiring responses or initiatives. Non-traditional hours to allow for evening and weekend community outreach and events, as well as coordination with those activities and personnel that arc 24/7. Must possess a valid driver's license.
