Assistant Director (CMD041): Key assignments will include: supervision of all department personnel in the absence of the director; responsible for the operational programs and project implementation; staff supervision, direction and evaluation; assistance in interpreting and enforcing provisions of various plans and ordinances; consultant management; and special technical studies and projects implementation, including staff assignments and setting priorities. Communication, management and negotiation abilities are essential skills for this team member. Minimum requirements include a B.A./B.S. degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Engineering or related subjects. 10 years of progressive planning, supervisory and management experience are required, with a Masters Degree preferred. Competitive benefits package offered; salary range of $74,646 - $97,039.

Senior Planner (CMD008): Key responsibilities for this position in the Planning Division are overseeing the - comprehensive planning program, preparing essential plan revisions, and reviewing land development applications for plan compliance. Seeking an individual experienced in working with Citizen Planning Committees, Planning Commissions, Architectural Review Boards and local communities in both master planning and historic resources. Communication and writing skills are vital and must be able to work both independently and as part of a team to meet legal deadlines. Planning and design skills are required. Minimum requirements include a B.A./B.S. degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture or related subjects, with a Masters Degree preferred. Up to 5 years of planning experience is required. Competitive benefits package offered; salary range of $50,523-$65,680.
