For all of you who mourned the closing of the Sunnyside Market in Washington, this will be news to warm the coddles of your hearts...and appetites.
Dan Manzo, owner of Rush River Antiques, will be starting a new take out deli early this spring that will bring new life into the Clopton House kitchen. “I’m so excited,” said Manzo of his foray into a food venture.
Manzo, who is fond of orchestrating large dinner parties, has catering experience from years ago. When Sunnyside Market closed its doors several months ago, it left a void that Manzo has decided to fill.
“I’m planning to open around 8:30 a.m. with coffee and donuts, pastries and quiches,” smiled Manzo who admits that he is still on the hunt for the “greatest coffee” and then chuckled, “that’s my biggest fear, that I won’t have the greatest coffee and that’s what I want.”
Heading into the lunch hour, Manzo is planning on at least two soup selections and an array of deli sandwiches. “There will be some already made that people can quickly purchase and then I’ll be making them to order as well,” elaborated Manzo who also plans to have a selection of cheeses,
