The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors may have an easy decision to make Monday regarding a proposed outdoor music festival in the county.
Representatives of Finley Productions, the Warrenton-based company that in December applied for a special-exception permit to organize a large outdoor music festival on the property of the Blue Rock Inn, did not show up for its Jan. 17 public hearing before the County Planning Commission. County Administrator John McCarthy said he has not been in contact with Finley executives for several weeks.
The permit application is on the agenda for the board’s monthly public hearing, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at the Rappahannock County Courthouse. In January, planning commissioners voted unanimously to recommend that the supervisors deny the festival permit, but the board will have the final say on the matter Monday.
