What do you do? You’re missing your favorite show, you have no water in the house, and it’s after 9 o’dock. I had the name of a fellow that I knew we had used to fix some problems at my mother-in-law’s house, but I didn’t know much about him, and I didn’t know if I should call at this hour.
Then, I figured plumbers must get emergency calls at all hours. But, was this an emergency? Well, probably not, but it sure was inconvenient as heck. And the name I had was interesting to me. The fellow’s name was Clyde Pullen. One of my favorite characters of years gone by was an unde named Clyde. And Pullen was my Grandmother Brady’s maiden name. This guy had to be OK, right?
