crackers, deli meats and wines available for purchase. Following a long established European tradition, Manzo will offer a sale hour toward the end of each business day. “Always fresh every day, that’s how I want it,” said Manzo.
Manzo will also have use of the two small smokehouses and the open courtyard next to The Clopton House and he has something special in mind for one of the smokehouses.
Walking inside the quaint building, Manzo opens wide the large red door that looks out onto the courtyard. “Ice cream,” he says with a grin. Hoping to attract the after school crowd, Manzo envisions that spring weather will bring folks out and why not to purchase a yummy ice cream cone. So, an ice cream parlor is in the works and Manzo is hoping that he will be able to entice local high schoolers to help him run it.
The courtyard is another area tliat Manzo plans to enhance and furnish with outdoor tables and chairs so that people can purchase their goodies and then have a comfortable place to sit and enjoy their meal — weather permitting.
“I see this as the town center,” said Manzo. “A place where the community can come together and share good food.”
With a twinkle in his eye, Manzo added. “I’d also like them to be able to hook up to the Internet. They can come with their laptops, have something to eat and be able to go online.” “That’s what I’d ultimately like to be able to provide is wireless Internet connection.”
In the meantime, Manzo is busy planning for his grand opening in the spring. “I started to think seriously about this in November, but it’s taken a long time getting health permits and various approvals,” said Manzo who has been meeting with various food reps.
With Manzo putting new energies into Dano DeLucca’s, he is in the process of looking for additional help as there will be no changes at Rush River Antiques which is also located
