Dates for in-person sign-ups are as follows: 2/4 & 2/11 at the Amissville firehouse from 1-3 p.m. Players new to RCB need to bring birth certificates. AH children, boys & girls, from ages 4-18 (by May 1st) are eligible to piay. New for 11 and 12 year-old players, is the super Cal 50Y70’ field. Play baseball just like the professionals do. Democratic meeting
The Rappahannock County Democratic , Committee, RCDC, will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday Feb. 6 at the Rappahannock Library at 7:30 pm. Conversation and refreshments start at 7. The public is welcome!
Feb. 6: Culpeper Soil and Water
Conservation District meeting
The Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District holds its monthly Board of Directors meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Meeting location rotates alphabetically through the five counties served by the district Culpeper, Greene, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock. The Feb. 6, meeting will be held on Tuesday, in Orange at the Department of Public Works Building at 235 Warren Street. For further information and directions call 825-8591.
Feb. 7: Hearthstone School
Kitty Keyser, certified Waldorf teacher, is offering a Parent-Child Program for children 18 months to six years old in the nursery/kindergarten class at Hearthstone school. Program starts Wednesday, Feb. 7. Classes will be on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with a two and a three hour option. Two hour classes will be held from 8:45 until 10:45 and cost $10 per class. Three hour class will be held from 8:45 until 11:45 and cost $15 per class. Parents are asked to attend for six weeks. The first class is free! Parents and children will participate in activities including story telling, watercolor, painting, handwork such as beeswax sculpture and sewing, rhythmic movement and dance, snack time and other activities, call the school office at 987-9212 if you are interested participating in this program with your child or would like to learn more about it.
