Dec. 1: Indoor Rea Market
The Child Care and Learning Center will be sponsoring an Indoor Flea Market at the Washington School on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9:00 a.m. - 3 p.m. Items for sale will include tag sale items from the CCLC auction, household items, children's clothing, baked goods, and much more. Tables are available to anyone interested in selling at the Flea Market for $20 for an 8‘ space. Please contact Kim or Rose Ann at 675-3237 if you are interested in renting a table.
Dec. 1: Auditions for
“Steel Magnolias”
The Fauquier Community Theatre will hold auditions for its production of "Steel Magnolias" on Saturday, December 1 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and Monday, December 3 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Call-backs, if necessary, will be held Tuesday, December 3 from 7 p.m. Auditions will be held at 4260 Sigler Drive, Vint Hill Farms Station, Warrenton, Va. The Show is being directed by Glynn Cosker. Cast requirements include two women ages 18-30, two women 40-55, two women 55-65. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. It is requested that you arrive at the beginning of auditions and please bring a list of conflicts. Performance dates for the show are February 29, March 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 14,15, and 16, 2008. "Art from the Heart” Art Show
Save the Date: Wakefield Country Day School (WCDS) is pleased to announce that the 6th Annual “Art from the Heart” Art Show will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1. For the past five years, this event has been a great success - - last year featuring the works of 30 local professional artists, as well as artistic creations by WCDS students. December's show again promises to provide a wonderful opportunity to obtain beautiful works of art, for your personal collection or for holiday gifts. Acting as an “art gallery for a day,” WCDS will provide a venue to admire the works of well-known area artists in a variety of media, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, bronzes and jewelry. Proceeds help support and enhance the school’s fine arts programs, including its art curriculum, and provide scholarships to deserving students.
