With some 60 attendees, the new Rappahannock NonProfit Center (RNPC) in Sperryville held the first-ever Piedmont NonProfit Leadership Conference. Its theme was “Developing a Dynamic Board” and attracted Nancy Axelrod as the keynote speaker. Ms. Axelrod is the founding president of the National Center for Nonprofit Boards (now known as BoardSource) and is the ’ author of a number of books *and other publications dedicated to governance and leadership issues in nonprofit organizations.
