Now, having written this, I know you are going to wonder what kind of person it takes to sit, mesmerized, watching leaves fall off trees. That’s okay. Ill take the hit for this. But, for some reason, it was a wonderful show.
Nature is like that, at least to me. When I think I have looked under every rock and rotted stump, and have seen all that Mom Nature has to show me, I get blown away by leaves falling off a tree. On this same morning, I saw a partial albino fox squirrel, with a long, bushy; reddish brown tail, a grayish brown head, and a body as white as the driven snow. But it was the extemporaneous falling leaf show that made the day for me.
A new sheriff
Finally, I would like to extend my congratulations to all three of the candidates who ran for the position of sheriff I wish you all could have won. From where I sit, the sign burning incident notwithstanding, it was a good, clean, hard fought campaign. I was pleased to note the absence of mud slinging. Now, let’s give our new sheriff our heartiest congratulations and our loyal support. Well done.
