After Gate City rallied to take the lead at 19-18, Elena Kritter came up with three consecutive kills to give Rappahannock the edge again at 21-18. A block by Nikki Bowers and a kill by Megan Wheatley extended the lead to 23-19. The Blue Devils rallied to cut the lead to 23-22, but Kritter slammed the door with her seventh kill of the match and Natalie Tupper put the game away with an ace.
The Lady Panthers got out of the gate well in game three as they took a four-point lead at 10-6 on three consecutive - service points by Tupper. But . once again, the Blue Devils battled back and took their first lead of the game at 16-15. After the teams traded points for several minutes, Gate City got six straight service points from outside hitter Jennifer Lewis and held on for a 25-20 win to take a two games to one lead.
Rappahannock County rallied to win game four behind a balanced attack. Emily Carter, Hutcheson, and Kritter all came up with multiple kills in the fourth game as the Panthers staved off the Blue Devils comeback attempt. The Panthers built a 9-3 lead in the early stages of game four, but Gate City rallied to take the lead at 16-15.
