Rappahannock County High School will host a Scholastic Book Fair Dec. 13-14 from 4-8 p.m. Ail books and materials will be half price. Many items will be a dollar or less. So, if you need some awesome gifts for Christmas, BYOB - that’s bring your own box!!!
Dec. 14: Last shooting match
Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Co. will be having the last shooting match for 2007. In addition to the regular prizes, a live hog will be given away. Also, the drawing for the Gun Safe and Visa gift card raffle will take place. No sleeves, no scopes. Call 540-937-4110 for information.

Have your picture taken with Santa Saturday, December 15 at Hackley’s Country Store from 912 a.m. The Girl Scouts will be hosting a food drive for the Amissville Area Community Christmas Baskets. Please bring a non-perishable item to donate. On December 21, the food Baskets, flowers and fruit baskets will be delivered from the Amissville United Methodist Church. Christmas Dinner
Chester Gap Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department will have their Annual Community Christmas Dinner on Saturday, Dec. 15, with the lighting of the Christmas Tree and singing of Christmas carols at 4 p.m. At 430 p.m. join them for dinner of turkey, ham and lots of yummy goodies from the Chester Gap neighbors.
