The school board approved a bid by Amissville-based DRS Construction to install a ventilation system in the wrestling room at Rappahannock County Elementary School.
The stuSy room, where the Rappahannock high school football team’s uniforms have been kept, received attention during the staph scare this past October when it was considered a possible source of the spread of bacteria.
The project is expected to cost about $12,000, with a completion date of the summer of 2008. Two other contractors expressed interest in the work, but neither submitted a bid.
“I feel like it’s a workable plan to get this done,” Superintendent Chappell said.
