He also asked about a potential shortfall in state funding for the schools as a result of Superintendent Chappell’s overestimation of student enrollment this year.

“Where will you get that money?” he asked.

Chappell said that the schools stand to lose about $80,000 in anticipated state funds because of lower-thanexpected enrollment.

“Obviously we’re not pleased that we’re losing potentially $80,000...,” he said.

Routine personnel changes, Chappell said, could likely serve to cover the potential gap, with outgoing, betterpaid employees being replaced
