Position with the Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging in Leesburg, VA. Han, develop and manage several senior and resource related programs including: Info and Referral/ Assistance, Care Mgmt, Retired Sr Volunteer Program, Health Promotion, Sr Employment. Tax Assistance, Transportation, Medicare Counseling, and other advocacy programs. Meet Department management plan, budget, and complex compliance objectives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, county requirements. Provide direct supervision of six professional staff; oversee large, active volunteer training program. Provide support, mentoring, motivation of staff through consistent and effective communication. Encourage review of processes to increase efficiency, cost effectiveness, and development of partnerships offering greater opportunities and resources for seniors. Research local and state resource information, manage several grants. Promote public awareness of services, resources, and senior issues. Develop strong relations with NoVa Aging network. On forefront of aging related trends, legislation and issues such as housing, transportation needs & their impacts on die senior population and the division. Strong management and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in gerontology, social work, or related field and three years experience working with elderly. Prior supervisory experience required.
