Care packages
On December 11, WCDS prep school students began putting together care packages to send to soldiers serving in Iraq. Among them is 1st Lieutenant Connor Hammelman, WCDS Class of 2002, who is currently stationed in Baghdad. The following items are still needed: peanuts, coffee, chewing gum, Jerky, cookies, candy, snack foods and sports magazines. Please consider donating to this special project.
Soup for supper
Key Club is hosting “Soup for Supper” on Dec. 13, just prior to the Annual Christmas Concert, and will serve up delicious home-made soups to Wakefield families and friends. The proceeds will be donated to the Blue Ridge Food Bank.
Toys for tots
The student government began collecting toys on Dec. 7 in the WCDS Auditorium as part of their annual "Toys for Tots” drive. Please donate a new; unwrapped toy
