Chappell said that he could not provide a complete answer to why the school budget has increased despite dropping enrollment.
“I don’t have specific answers to that tonight because I don’t have facts or figures in front of me,” he said.
He said, though,.that the schools had introduced a number of new programs — including Spanish and Latin courses — that may account for the increase.

FBI laptops
Rappahannock schools will soon be receiving six laptop computers courtesy of the FBI. The donation was secured by school board member Wesley Mills, who works with a consulting firm for the FBI.
