Become a camp leader
The second opportunity is to become a 4-H Camp Club leader. We are looking for someone or several people to run this dub who like/s summer camps and who want/s to work with the teenagers who will be our counselors-in-training and our teen counselors at our 4-H camps. The volunteer leader/s will meet with the club members once a month (or more if you’d prefer) and will help plan speakers, games and activities that will help them leam to become worn derful camp counselors. One meeting may be centered around dealing with homesick children while another may be to leam new camp songs. If you don’t know anything about homesick children and can’t even carry a tune - it doesn’t matter! We really need someone to organize and oversee the dub meetings and get the dub participants excited about being in the club. The 4-H Coordinator and even the dub members can provide you with speakers, games and activities.
Being the leader erf a 4-H dub is fun and rewarding. If you are interested in learning more about being a 4-H Camp Club leader, please call the Extension office at 540-675-3619.
