Chester Gap
Last Monday night a group of ladies under the direction of Miss Doris Daugherty met at the Chester Gap Fire Hall to organize a sewing class. Those present were Mrs. Phil Charles, Mrs. Iva Williams, Miss Brenda Cameron, Mrs. Gertrude Cameron, Mrs. Maybelle Gilkey, Mrs. Ethel Williams, Mrs. Naomi Dulln, Mrs. Dorcas Kuser, Mrs. Eileen Davis, Mrs. Minnie Williams. The next meeting will be Tuesday, August 10 at 7:30. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Elphinstone are spending a two weeks vacation at their home here. Mrs. Minnie Kreish.r of Front Royal was a dinner guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sealock. Miss Josie Coon of Chester, Va. spent Saturday thru Wednesday of this week with Mr. and Mrs. Buster Mills and family. Mrs. Lewis Butler of Front Royal visited Mr. and Mrs. Herman Williams last Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Lewin Eastham of Front Royal were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Davis. Recent visitors of the Davis’ were Mr. and Mrs. Moyer, Mr. and Mrs. William Toomey of Arlington and John Toomey of Cleveland, Ohio.
