Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Burke drove to Greenville,. S. C. Saturday morning to attend the wedding Saturday evening of Miss Sandra Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Smith and Walter Bull of Greenville. Mrs. Burke and Mrs. Smith are old friends, having been employed* together in Washington, D. C. during World War II. Mr. and Mrs. Burke returned through the Great Smokies of North Carolina and Tennessee and arrived home Tuesday evening. George Hahn returned home Saturday after spending the past four weeks visiting his daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Wally Wilmot and sisters Mrs. Will Huffman and Mrs. Sherman Smith, all of Sioux City, Iowa. Sunday guests of the Hahn’s were their nephew and family Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hudson and children Kevin, Linda and Sharan and Mrs. Willie Neathy of Arlington. Recent callers of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thornhill and dauglv ter Sue Ellen were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Grant of Roanoke. Mrs. Grant, the former Miss Frances Walker of Washington, and Mrs. Thornhill were classmates, and it was their first meeting in thirteen years.
