signs. The pop art cloth design will appeal to the young set, while the more sophisticated “opart* designs in cloth will appear in very high fashion, striking types of clothing. Neither of these trends in fabric design will be adopted by a large portion of population, but you will see evidence of these fabric design trends. More obvious and more generally accepted by the public will be less startling fabric designs. Bold plaids and crisp checks will continue popular. Woolens are continuing their trend toward the smoother look with fine twill weaves taking on considerable Jmporfr ance. For the dressy look in woolens, crocheted-like fabrics will be more dominant on the fashion scene than ever. Lacy, over-stitched woolens are gaining in popularity. Soft, drapable, supple fabrics will be used again this fall. In a time when the very feminine look is present in women’s clothing, these soft fabrics fit — While tne color range for Fall 1965 will be much the same, some new trends do appear.
