************ One day last week I stopped at Bob’s Souvenir Shop in Sperryville and while standing there talking a potential customer drove up. When the lady alighted from her vehicle and came toward us the (first thing she asked was, | “Do you have a trash can? I didn’t want to throw this paper on the highway.” The paper was about the size of a rumpled face tissue.
It had not been long before that I had followed an out of state car with its five occu pants eating candy, icfe crean> etc, and as each finished he or she tossed the refuse out the window. Another car I had followed was occupied by three boys. One threw out a soft drink bottle which landed on the dirt shoulder of the road and bounced onto the blacktop. The bottle smashed and I was caught in a shower of flying glass.
