The median income for Rappahannock families will be $12,999 by 1980, according to projections by Tayloe Murphy Institute economist Dr. John Knapp. The 1980 estimate is more than double the 1969 median county income of $6,077 and over 43 per cent higher than the $9,073 median in 1975.
Knapp estimates that the median family income throughout the state as a whole will also increase by 43 per cent, from $13,454, to $9,236 between 1975 and 1980.
