Art Show Set
Culpeper Art Fair 1977 will be held Saturday and Sunday, September 17 and 18 at the Fire CompanyRescue Squad Building, west of Davis Street. Adults and juniors from pre-school through high school are invited to exhibit original works of art created through 1976 and 1977. Adult classes include oils, watercolors, acrylic, collage, drawings, prints, pastels, oriental watercolors and photography with special classes for “People and Places in Virginia,” fantasy, batik and Chinese Year of the Snake.
Categories for junior classes are animal kingdom, fantasy and everyday living. Entries may be in any media and will be judged in two groups: pre-school through 6th grade and 7th through 12th.
No advance entry blanks are necessary. Adult entry fee will be $1 for each painting. Junior entry fee will be 25 cents for each picture. All proceeds will benefit the Culpeper Town and County Library.
