1 can tomato sauce (4 oz.) 1 can (small) tomato paste l‘/j to 2 pounds ground beef 1 onion chopped 1 green pepper 1 garlic clove chopped Vi pound mozzerella cheese, grated
Brown onions, peppers, garlic in oil. Add meat and brown. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, and “chopped tomatoes and green chilies.” Add oregano, salt and pepper to taste. In casserole dish, make layers of eggplant slices, cheese and meat mixture ending with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
