All Virginians who move their place of residence prior to November 8 are urged to transfer their voting registration to the election district of their new residence on or before October 8, 1977.
If a voter fails to advise the registrar of his change of residence, and the move occurred before the November General Election, the voter may not be permitted to vote, according to information released by the State Board of Elections.
