ERA Seminar
The Rappahannock Ad Hoc Committee for the Equal Rights Amendment held a luncheon and informal seminar on August 25 at the home of Delores Dalton in Flint Hill. The discussion centered around what the ERA would and would not mean to the women of Rappahannock County.
In June the committee held an open forum at the court house with guest speakers. “More activities are planned,” according to Mary Beth Martin, committee chairperson, “to allow additional opportunities for exploring the potential benefits of the Equal Rights Amendment to both men and women.”
The next event scheduled is an information and planning meeting with Washington attorney Sharon Genebach. The topic for discussion will be “Inheritance Laws in Virginia." Individuals wishing further information should call 675-3279 or 6753236.
