Some of those who spoke had been born in another country and had come here through these organizations. They talked and showed slides about Belgium, Iceland, Italy, Spain, Peru and Malaysia and showed pictures of their adopted “families.”
“We met Girl Scouts from Maryland, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and South Carolina. We unexpectedly met them again Sunday after we left when we toured the museum of African Arts.
Mrs. Barbara Dennis went as a chaperone with our leader, Mrs. Pat Helmer.

House Plant Course
Mason Hutcheson, Extension Agent in Culpeper, will teach a class on the care of house plants March 1, 2 p.m. at the Baptist Church Educational Building, Washington, Virginia. Mr. Hutcheson has had a great deal of experience with plants and has a greenhouse of his own.
Make it a point to attend the program before you fertilize, repot, and propagate your plants this spring.
This class is being sponsored by the Rappahannock County Extension Homemakers and is open to all county residents.
