Noting that the county under current ordinances had
controlled development on ag land by density requirements, Planner Newbill Miller asked Davis what density levels he suggested for an agricultural zone under the revised ordinances.
“Eliminate density,” Davis answered. This was an option available, he explained, since it would be in accordance with the state policy of keeping agricultural land for agricultural purposes.
Chairman Herbert Barksdale praised Davis for presenting his opinions on proposed ordinance revisions in "plain language...I don’t know if all the members will agree with you,” he added.
“George, that’s an awful lot to think about,” commented Planner Walter Masterson.
