brother J. G. Semmes has cross-entered Second Call.

Ten horses are entered in the flat race, including Randy Waterman’s Irish Report, June H. McKnight’s Tor and Turney McKnight’s Justan.

The hunter pace event for pairs which begins at 10:30 a.m. has 13 entries, with six from the Casanova Hunt.

General admission for the day’s races is S3, and race chairman O’Keefe urges spectators to arrive at the course early to avoid the long lines and traffic problems experienced in past years by everyone trying to arrive just as the first race begins.

Refreshments will be available at the course, but spectators bringing their own tailgate picnics are encouraged to enter the Harden and Weaver Tailgate Handicap which will judge the entries’ expertise in tailgating. An entry booth will be set up in the reserved parking area for this event.
