A Tree
To the editor:
Let’s make Rappahannock even more beautiful by planting a tree on April 6th. If every family, organization and business of the county would plant just one tree, think what it would mean to the county in which you live.
To assist you, Chinese Chestnut Seedlings. Pink and White Dogwoods will be available by calling or writing your local V.P.I. Extension Office. 675-3619. Pink Dogwoods $4, White Dogwoods S2.50, and Chinese Chestnuts 50 cents each. All nursery stock. Orders must be accompanied by checks and in by March 3. These trees are being sold for the benefit of the 4-H Education Center.
At 10 a.m. on this date, a Pink Dogwood will be planted in the Court House Yard in memory of Jock Brown by the employees of the county. A short service will be led by Mr. James W. Fletcher. We would like to extend to you a special invitation to attend.
