He warned that if action wasn’t taken soon to combat the disappearance of agricultural land to nonagricultural uses "eventually, you’re going to fly over in an airplane and look down and we’re going to be just another hot spot on the East Coast.”
Davis noted that restrictions on the development of agricultural land could be viewed from a positive standpoint as a means of encouraging agriculture rather than preventing outside development.
