Point-to-point race fans who spend much of their time socializing during a race day are invited to participate in a special event, designed with them in mind, on Feb. 25 during the Casanova Hunt Point-to-Point.

For the second year, the Harden and Weaver Handicap will judge the participants' expertise in tailgating.

For years, buffet luncheons spread on the tailgates of station wagons have been a traditional part of point-topoint races. In many cases the lavish displays no longer fit on a tailgate and have expanded to include tables decorated with fresh flowers and silver candelabra, and a great variety of foods and beverages.
