Founder Middleton Miller also has a grandson, C. J. “Jack” Miller, Jr., on the company’s board of directors. Jack Miller was raised at “The Maples”, which was built by Middleton Miller about 1850 on part of the first farm owned by Henry Miller, the pioneer. It is presently occupied by another descendent of the first Henry Miller, Newbill Miller and his family.
Presidents of Rappahannock Home Mutual Fire Insurance Company since 1878 include L. R. Hudson, Wade H. Massie, Wade H. Massie, Jr. and C. E. Johnson. Andrew Botts, F. B. Dudley, C. J. Miller, Jr., D. D. Miller, James Ashby and Carson Johnson have all served as secretary-treasurer.
