She said she expected fund raisers would earn approximately $1,000 from sales of dogwood trees as part of a "Keep Rappahannock Beautiful” campaign. Pink dogwoods, white dogwoods and Chinese chestnut seedlings, all nursery stock, will be sold through the Extension Office with proceeds to benefit the 4-H center. Other money raising projects are being planned for the 4-H fund drive that will end in early April.
Ms. Jenkins urged county residents to be generous with their contributions. “This Center will mean much in training the youth of our state,” she said. "Rappahannock youth are especially fortunate to be only eighteen miles away and will benefit from all the wonderful opportunities it will offer.”
