Davis also said that ordinance revisions should include redefinition of what constitutes a trailer park.
“The minimum size in the ordinance is much too large,” he insisted. "It’s now 25 acres. If five acres will suffice, why take an extra 20 acres of land out of agricultural use?” The same principal—why use 25 when five will do—applies to housing, continued Davis. He added that small lot development should be "scattered at random” over the county rather than clustered.
"Any preconceived notice we might have had in the past, the best thing we can do is forget them,” Davis commented.
He advised against pushing immediately for any new zoning * or subdivision regulations.
