Merrill had gone on his honeymoon. ‘‘If we hadn’t, Warren would have had a long wait!” the source of the story added with a smile.
Although leaving full-time work at his motor company will be like abandoning an old friend, Merrill insists that he plans to reorganize this summer. He wants to either sell the business (everyone’s heard that before!) or find someone to manage it so he can enjoy a little leisure time.
Merrill wants to travel primarily to Florida where most of his family lives. But he won’t leave Rappahannock for good. “I’d never go there to retire,” he vowed. “I’ll just have to travel back and forth.”
