Salaries Approved
After the supervisors approved the 1979-80 teacher salaries, a scale that Bloomer described as “rather competitive at the lower end,” Mary Schumaker told the board members they needed to think about how to keep experienced teachers from leaving Rappahannock schools. She noted that 18 teachers had indicated to date they weren’t returning next year.
