Williams *
Dallas Everett Williams, 63, of Front Royal, died Saturday, April 7, 1979 in the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from Marlow Heights Baptist Church in Front Royal conducted by the Rev. Jim Harman. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal.
Mr. Williams was born Feb. 8, 1916, at Huntly, son of Mrs. Nellie Harris Williams of Front Royal and the late Bossie Williams. He was a member of the Marlow Heights Baptist Church and Shenandoah Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America. He served with the United States Army in the China-Burma-India Theatre during World War II.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Esther Dove Williams of Front Royal; two daughters, Linda Payne of Miami, Fla. and Susan Cameron of Winnemucca, Nev.; two brothers, C. Hugh Williams and Dennis S. Williams, both of Front Royal; one sister, Hazel W. Feldhauser of Front Royal and one grandchild.
Mitchell Carter
Mitchell Carter, 88, of Midland, died April 7 at the Fauquier Hospital. He was a World War I veteran and a retired steel worker.
He is survived by a sister Mrs. Alice L. Parker, Amissville, a brother George Carter, Amissville, a nephew James Jenkins, Midland, who lived with him, and a number of other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted April 11 at Joynes Funeral Home by Rev. Jake Turner. Interment was at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Midland.
