The Dolly Madison Garden Club will celebrate Garden Week 1979 with a house and garden tour on Saturday and Sunday, April 28 and 29. The tour will include stops at: —The Residence, a yellow frame house built in 1793 by William Madison, the President’s brother, on the grounds of Woodberry Forest School.

Academic Honors
Three students from Rappahannock County have received academic honors for the winter quarter at Lord Fairfax Community College, according to an announcement from Dr. William McCoy, president of the college.
Florence Roman was named to the President’s List for achieving at least a 3.8 honor point average for at least a 12 quarter-hour credit load.
Elizabeth Scherschel and Julia Holland were both named to the Dean's List after completing at least a 12 quarter-hour credit load with at least a 3.2 honor point average.
