The home of Mr. and Mrs. George Butler, Sr. was the setting for a party Wednesday in honor of the 85th birthday of Mrs. Jesse Hawkins. Others present were Mr. Hawkins, Mrs. Cary Thornhill, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duncan, Mrs. A. B. Honts and Mrs. Annie Hitt of Rixeyville. Mrs. Hawkins, Mrs. Honts, Mrs. Butler and Mrs. Thornhill are sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. Billy Meredith of Reva Park and Mr. and Mrs. John Lamb, Steve and Wayne were Sunday luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Fincham and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier, Michele and Michael Wayne were Saturday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meade in Culpeper. Sunday they had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Atkins in Sperryville and in the afternoon, Mrs. Frazier and children visited Mrs. Edward Gore, Keith and Heather in Sperryville.
Dallas Johnson of Fayettsville, N.C. spent from Wednesday through Sunday with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Cary Thornhill.
Mrs. Charlie Dodson and Mrs. Christine Corbin spent Monday in Winchester and Wednesday were guests of Mrs. Ann Taylor in Richmond.
Frank Duncan makes regular trips to visit his mother, Mrs. Ethel Smith, who underwent major surgery in University Hospital, Charlottesville Monday.
Frank Freeman and Paul of Silver Spring, Md. were Saturday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Starry. Other Sunday visitors were Randolph Jenkins of Etlan and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Winkler. Mrs. Joye Payne of Madison was a Sunday guest of her father, the Rev. W. B.
