Attorney

Candidates

To Speak

Rappahannock’s representatives in the General Assembly as well as local candidates for Commonwealth Attorney will be guest speakers at the mass meating of the county Republican Party scheduled for Thursday, April 26, at 8 p.m. in the court house.

Attorneys Douglas Baumgardner and Peter Luke, both seeking the office of Commonwealth Attorney in the November elections, will each make a brief presentation before answering questions from the audience. State Senator Nathan Miller and Delegate George Beard will also speak.

Although the mass meeting will be called to order at 8 p.m., elections and other Republican Party business will not be conducted until after the four speakers have finished. The meeting will be open to the public — Republican, Democrat and Independent alike. Participation in the later business portion, however, will be limited to Republican Party supporters.
