To the editor:
On this Saturday, April 21 at 8 p.m. parts of grand opera will be performed at the old Washington school auditorium in Washington, Va.
Fifteen to twenty advanced and graduate students from the School of Music at Catholic University will bring to us the same program they recently performed before the South and Central American Diplomats and their friends at the old Pan American Union.
They will sing and act out various scenes, arias, duets and quintets from such operas as The Magic Flute. Falstaff, LaTraviata, Lucia, Faust, Romeo and Juliett, Tosca, Figero and others.
Some of the players, Tom McKenzie, Nathaniel Wilson,. Ron Smith, Harolyn Blackwell and Steve Stokes have sung in full length operas. Some advanced students, like Young Reem Kang and Helen Bickers recently transferred to C. U., will be with the troupe.
1 can assure you this group of performers will please all who can find the time to come Saturday to the old school auditorium.
These students are coming here at their own expense, both for their own experience with different publics and in this performance to aid our Rappahannock Choral Society and Washington Fire
