Mrs. Lyne states that the first performance for the 1979-80 season will be John Raitt, who is one of the wellknown names among observers of musical comedy. For 30 years he has entertained and delighted audiences from coast to coast with superb performances and such famous shows as “Oklahoma,” “Carousel,” “1776,” and “1 Do, Ido.”
The Community Concert winter performance will be a joint recital with Ransom Wilson and Nancy Allen with a flute and harp duet. This season will close next spring with Bob Greene’s World of Jelly Roll Morton.
