Janice Moffett and Bill Lynn, co-chairmen for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Wheels for Life Bike-a-thon, today asked residents of Rappahannock County to volunteer their time and energy for the May 6, 1979 ride.
Volunteers are needed to help conduct the Wheels For Life Bike-a-thon on May 6th to raise funds to support the world-famous research center in its battle against catastrophic childhood diseases.
"We’re looking for people who are willing to contribute a little of their time to help us help children live,” said Mrs. Moffett. “Our biggest need is for riders since they are the ones who will make this event a success.”
Those who want to ride should pick up their registration sponsor forms at the Washington Cash Store, Rappahannock National Bank of either of the schools now and start getting sponsors.
