Improvements to sections of Route 616 are included as projects for this year and 1980-81 in the six-year plan, Askew continued. “When we revise the plan two years hence, we’ll pick up some more,” he said.

The resident engineer reported that work on Route 621 west of Route 522 is progressing. “We put pipe in last weekend and ditched it two months ago. We still have additional work to do,” Askew said.

“Do you anticipate getting to it real soon?” asked Wood.

“If the weather holds out, yes,” Askew answered. He noted that the six-year plan includes $50,000 worth of work on Route 621 during the current fiscal year. The maintenance projects that are currently being done are financed with money from a
