Wakefield School’s sophomores, juniors, and seniors, accompanied by the school’s Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Pamela Lynn, will attend the National College Fair at the D. C. National Guard Armory in Washington, D. C. on Thursday, Nov. 1. Representatives from over 400 colleges and universities will be present to answer student questions about college programs, majors, costs, financial aid, and student life.
Father Maurice du Castillon of Bethany House in Washington (Va.) celebrated Holy Mass at Wakefield on Monday for the School’s Catholic students and faculty. Before the Mass, Fr. du Castillon spoke to the entire student body about religious faith and related some of his experiences as a missionary in China before World War II. These services at Wakefield on Monday were part of a religious emphasis program at the school this year to focus student attention on moral and spiritual values and to deepen the religious faith and commitment of young people.
